Cookie Policy (EU)
This Cookie Policy was last updated on August 4, 2026 and applies to citizens and legal permanent residents of the European Economic Area and Switzerland.
1. Introduction
Our website, https://tkmphoto.com (hereinafter: “the website”) uses cookies and other related technologies (for convenience all technologies are referred to as “cookies”). Cookies are also placed by third parties we have engaged. In the document below we inform you about the use of cookies on our website.
2. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small simple file that is sent along with pages of this website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer or another device. The information stored therein may be returned to our servers or to the servers of the relevant third parties during a subsequent visit.
3. What are scripts?
A script is a piece of program code that is used to make our website function properly and interactively. This code is executed on our server or on your device.
4. What is a web beacon?
A web beacon (or a pixel tag) is a small, invisible piece of text or image on a website that is used to monitor traffic on a website. In order to do this, various data about you is stored using web beacons.
5. Cookies
5.1 Technical or functional cookies
Some technical storage is needed for this website to work properly. On this website the only item in this category is a small record of your cookie choices, saved in your browser under the name tkm-consent-v2 using localStorage. It is not a cookie, it never leaves your device and it is never sent to our server. Its sole purpose is to remember and honour the choice you made in the cookie banner. Storage that is strictly necessary for this purpose is exempt from the consent requirement. Apart from this record, this website does not place any cookies or similar identifiers before you have made a choice in the banner.
5.2 Statistics cookies
We use statistics cookies to optimize the website experience for our users. With these statistics cookies we get insights in the usage of our website. We ask your permission to place statistics cookies.
5.3 Advertising cookies
On this website we use advertising cookies from Google Ads, and only if you accept the Advertising purpose in the cookie banner. If you accept, these cookies are used to measure the results of our advertising campaigns, for example whether a visit or an enquiry followed one of our ads, and to personalise the advertising you see based on your activity. If you do not accept, no advertising cookies are placed and your behaviour on this website is not used for advertising purposes. Section 6 lists the specific cookies involved.
6. Placed cookies
This site places no cookies at all until you choose. There is no login, no comment system and no CAPTCHA, so there is nothing to store about you before that choice.
Your choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage under the key tkm-consent-v2. That is not a cookie: it is never sent to a server and it is readable only by this site. Clearing your browser storage for this site removes it and the banner appears again.
Google Analytics, statistics, optional
Only if you allow analytics. Google Analytics tells us which pages are read and how people arrive.
Cookies set: _ga, expiry 2 years, distinguishes one browser from another. _ga_*, expiry 2 years, keeps the session state for this property. Both are set by Google; see the Google Privacy Policy.
Google Ads, advertising, optional
Only if you allow advertising. We advertise on Google, and this measures which campaigns produce an enquiry so we do not keep paying for the ones that do not. Accepting also permits ads personalisation, which means Google may use your visit to this site when deciding which of our ads to show you elsewhere. The data is shared with Google; what Google does with it is described on its own page, How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.
Cookies set: _gcl_au, expiry 90 days, set by Google to attribute a conversion to the ad that produced it. Google may set further cookies on its own domains under the Google Privacy Policy.
Refuse advertising and none of this happens: the advertising signals stay denied, the identifier that ties a visit to an ad click is stripped from anything Google still receives, and no advertising cookie is written.
Vimeo, video, only on click
Video pages show a still placeholder rather than a player. Nothing is requested from Vimeo until you click it, and the click is the consent for that one video. Once loaded, Vimeo may set its own cookies under its own policy; the embed is requested with Do Not Track enabled.
7. Consent and how to change it
The first time you visit, a banner offers Reject all and Accept all as two identical buttons, plus a Manage control that opens a panel where analytics and advertising can be accepted or refused separately. Nothing is loaded until you use one of them. Refusing everything is one click, exactly the same as accepting everything, and refusing means no request to Google is ever made rather than a request made politely. Scrolling or continuing to browse is not consent.
You can change your mind at any time. Use the Cookie settings control in the footer of any page: it clears the stored choice, sets every signal back to denied immediately, and reopens the banner on the preferences panel.
8. Enabling/disabling and deleting cookies
You can use your internet browser to automatically or manually delete cookies. You can also specify that certain cookies may not be placed. Another option is to change the settings of your internet browser so that you receive a message each time a cookie is placed. For more information about these options, please refer to the instructions in the Help section of your browser.
Please note that our website may not work properly if all cookies are disabled. If you do delete the cookies in your browser, they will be placed again after your consent when you visit our website again.
9. Your rights with respect to personal data
You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
