| 1) Since I work all my images personally, from capture to print, the finished product is undoubtedly a result of my artistic vision. My pictures can convey a feeling of “being there” that would be lost if they were being processed by someone who hasn’t experienced the reality behind the image.
2) Each photograph is 100% true to my interpretation of the scene at the time I was there. Every print has been processed and optimized in some way so that it more closely resembles my vision than the limited vision of a camera that was created thousands of miles away.
3) I print each and every photograph with the goal of providing a product of superior quality and excellent archival characteristics. These prints are designed and intended to continue to please viewers beyond a lifetime.
4) Since digital SLR cameras have limitations imposed by sensor size, I use my discretion to limit the maximum size each photograph can be printed. I will not sell any photograph printed at a size large enough to show what I believe to be an unacceptable deterioration in image quality.
5) I’ve lived in Juneau, loving its natural beauty, since I was ten years old (for the last fifteen years). My photographs represent my intimate relationship with Juneau’s surrounding area, and they are not images that you have seen somewhere else.
6) Through my love of outdoor activities (hiking, mountain climbing, ice climbing, kayaking, and more), I’ve gained access to beautiful scenes that only a tiny percentage of photographers in the world have ever experienced.
7) Because glaciers are a disappearing and constantly changing phenomenon, many of my photographs featuring glaciers are absolutely one of a kind. Most of the formations in the ice have long since disappeared, and they will never be witnessed again except through my pictures.
