Since it’s beginning in 1995, Guilherme Paulus has transformed the GJP brand into a powerhouse that has serviced more almost 100k clients in exotic locations such as Rio de Janeiro, Recife and São Paulo. He was also instrumental in the transformation of CVC, from a hole in the wall travel agency, into a nationwide company. Keeping his finger on the pulse of success, he was able to garner support for his bid to take the company public in 2013.

In his unapologetic enthusiasm Guilherme Paulus was well known to be walking around inside his hotels and resorts; talking with customers and employees alike. After all, if you want to know the needs of the customer and the employees, simply ask.

His energy seems to know no bounds in his quest to expand the tourism industry of Brazil. There are not many business men who can boast transforming a company in 5 years, but Guilherme Paulus is one of them. He was the first to take a second glance at Webjet; a fledgling airline company that was barely supporting one plane. Taking this company under his wing, Paulus was able to grow the business until it could support more than 20 airlines across Brazil.

Guilherme Paulus not only proved to have a natural business sense, but to also be an eager philanthropist. Under his direction, CVC has become one of the main supporters of the PIET Project for youths. The project is designed to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurship within the tourism industry. Thereby, bolstering the economic growth of Brazil.

What began as an impromptu challenge, turned a poor young man into a celebrated hotelier and international entrepreneur. Guilherme Paulus has certainly done his best to transform the tourism industry of Brazil. While he certainly deserves to, he does not waste time by sitting on his laurels. His passion has not only sparked growth in the Brazilian economy, but has paved a way for new entrepreneurs to become leaders.
