Their latest addition to their family came in early at 24 weeks and was born with a condition known as PVL, (Periventricular Leukomalacia), and her life would prove to be different from that of other girls. Anthony Petrello and Philanthropy
Becoming a philanthropist always has a motivation behind it, and Anthony’s push was his daughter’s condition. He and his friends became the new face of medical philanthropy. As he sought to understand what had gone wrong with his daughter Carena, the idea of helping these research programs was born. Together with his friends in the industry, they were able to see the programs funded to date. All thanks to lunches that saw Anthony raise an initial $ 7 million for the project. Despite his position in the oil business and his busy schedule, Anthony serves as an advocate for the needs of kids suffering from neurological disorders all courtesy of the various research and clinical programs in the country.
